Bushill RSA is a family-owned business, and we started trading in 2010. We are keen shooting enthusiasts and hunters, and have been concerned for some time about the continued reliance of the gun-owners’ fraternity in South Africa on expensive imported products. We subsequently decided to use our local expertise, with a lot of help from the collective knowledge of South African experts, to develop a range of local products for gun-owners. We have subsequently also started to import and distribute great products such as Air Arms, Parker Hale and VFG to South Africa. We have managed to reduce retail prices on these imported products by more than 35%.

Our activities really started in 2008, when we started exploring the potential for the production of a range of gun cleaning products for use in the local firearms industry. We started from scratch and spent a good 2 years developing and testing products. Our first product range was the high quality Gunsmithy cleaning cloth range. And here our innovation already started: not only do we manufacture the traditional cloth rolls of 100mm width as well as pre-cut cloth in standard calibre sizes, but we also introduced a world-first 50mm width cloth roll. This is a unique size and is turning out to be our biggest cloth seller. We also manufacture a 38mm roll for use with the Dewey cleaning system.

In 2009 we embarked on the development of a range of gun cleaning chemical products. As a result, in 2010, we successfully developed a number of gun cleaning products, under the brand name “Gunsmithy”. We also manufacture a range of leather, neoprene and other textile accessories for the gun owner, under the brand names “African Rifleman” and “Bushill”. And we keep adding new products every year.

In 2015 we secured sole distributorships for the prestigious Parker Hale and VFG brands.

In 2016 we secured the sole distributorship for the prestigious Air Arms brand.

We operate from the Cape and Gauteng regions in South Africa and have sales agents covering all South African regions. We supply all South African gun stores and we welcome trade enquiries.
